I was very excited for December to finally appear on my calendar so much so that I welcome our final month of 2018 with big open arms. The holidays are some of my favorite times of the year. For a multitude of reasons, I love decorating, I love giving gifts to my loved ones, and I love that my loved ones come to visit. Allowing for us to finally spend some good quality time together. This holiday season appears to be pretty relaxed at the moment, but I know when the children were a lot younger how crazy and hectic these few weeks would be. At times I'm not going to lie they felt like a lifetime and while I love my children with all my heart. I found myself honestly just wanting it to be over so life could go back to our regular schedule. Since I know the struggle of wanting to spend time with your loved ones, wanting to participate in the holiday fun, and the craziness that is December. I thought for Blogmas Article #2 I would share with you some of my Darling December Dates. Perfect, Simply, and Customizable for you and your loved one.

This is MaKayla's absolute favorite, she adores ice skating. When it's the two of us we like to ice skate our hearts out and then head over to this local pasta restaurant that has the best pasta we have ever tasted. For her this Darling December Date idea is a 10/10 would highly recommend.
Marvel at the Wonder of Christmas Lights
This is one that my family used to do a lot when they were younger. We would load the car up with all the kids, grab a to go cup of hot chocolate, sneak in a few cookies, then drive around the neighborhood staring with amazement and joy at all of the beautifully decorated houses. I personally think this is a great and simple December Date. You are cozied up close to your loved in a car, you can sip on some hot chocolate, munch on a few cookies, and you get to marvel at the wonder that is outside Christmas décor.
We all can agree that there are some awesome perks to being an adult, but we all can also agree that the magic that would bubble up inside you as a child during this time of year, is something that you miss and wish you could get back. You may not be able to retrieve the wonder, excitement, bewilderment, and magical feelings you felt during December as a child. Although you sure can give it your best effort. Head over to your local North Pole and visit Santa again. This time around you might know that he is some random man in a Santa suit, but if you are in good spirits the nostalgia is still there to be found.
