Do you acknowledge a strangers kindness?
Or are you one of those people who don't realize its actually happening?
I have extreme dislike for the person who does not acknowledge me when I say excuse me. Does that happen to you? I always think it's just me.
If I take the time to ignore that person I am capable of seeing the kindness of strangers all the time. More then say most would want to actually admit it.
A trip to the grocery store can be eye opening if you pay attention to the world around you.
As I was walking into the store I saw someone pull a cart out for an elderly women. In the bakery I saw an antsy child bouncing around waiting for their free cookie from the bakers.
In the vegetable isle I saw someone past a bag to the person waiting behind them, I saw carts trying to get by each other and people saying excuse me, and laughing at how small the isle seem to be getting. I say someone let a person check out before them because they had less then they did. On our way out I saw someone offer to put someone's cart away and then I saw someone pass a bag of food to the homeless man sitting on the corner. None of these instances I saw had anything to do with me, not that I'm rude its just that today I wanted to observe to see the human kindness that exist within our community. To witness kindness among strangers.
So next time your out and about look up . See the world and acknowledge the kindness of strangers as they interact with each other, or better yet be the kindness that is out there. It cost nothing and truly does make a difference.
