Uroš Jovičić - UnSplash
I love my job, I love what I do yet the Number One thing I have Found to be Beneficial to me is to Find Time for my Other Passions in Life. There has to be a Balance for and between Work as well as other Fun Hobbies of Mine. Making Time for all of my Passions allows my Creative Juices to Flow. For example if I just can't find something New to Write about or I'm having Issues with Writing my Ideas Clearly. I will redo a piece of furniture. I know that this also sound like work, yet for me it's relaxing. Working with my hands to Create something New Inspires me as well as Relaxes me.
A Night Away
Due to the fact that the majority of my work is done online I love taking a night off. When I say a night off it's really me just sneaking away for a an overnight camping trip. Unplugging from the online world as well as the general responsibilities of everyday life. I relax, rejuvenate my soul and I come back ready to conquer the world.
Nature does something magical to a persons outlook. I've never been able to pin point what it is. Yet I know that after a short trip outside of the office my creative juices start flowing all over again. I'm relaxed and I see things with more clarity. If your in the city hit up an urban trail. Ride a bike or walk to the coffee shop instead of taking that cab. Its all about getting out and seeing the world around you.
If Writing is Your Passion Then...
If writing is your passion and you have hit writers block try walking away. Not for a minute try walking away for the day. Take an adventure within your neighborhood. And then try writing something for fun. Something that has nothing to do with what your working on.
Head back to your work the next day and just start you can always rewrite later so just go with where the work takes you.
