Over the weekend I decided that it was time to restyle some of my bedroom pieces.
I also decided that I would bring you along in this DIY project.
Just like many of you, I spent a few hours looking around Pinterest and through other online articles for that perfect new look. I was hoping to find some new decorating inspiration and that is just what I found. After some time I stumbled across a type of paint called Amy Howard At Home. It is meant to be a one step paint. The paint claims to involve no stripping, no sandy, and no priming. If your anything like me, when it comes to redecorating the easier the better. Typically I use Ann Slone chalk paint, however for this project I thought that I would try a little something different.
I would like to make note that this is not an endorsement or a sponsored post. I came across this type of paint organically and chose to use it for this DIY redecorating project to see if it was capable of all it claimed to be.
My design ideas stem form all of my wonderful time spent online. I wanted my finished pieces to posses a traditional chic look. I started out with three separate pieces. Each piece is made out of different types of wood and they do all contain different kinds varnish /paint. I used the Amy Howard at home black to paint the outside of my pieces and used regular brown stain on the drawers.
