It's a new week and this week we're covering questions I'm presented with on twitter, therefore if you would like to know something about Thavin & Marcob or myself take a moment to ask on twitter.
I will continue to answer everyone's questions with as much clarity as possible.
Today's question is:
What Motivates you?
The first time this question was presented to me was in DM through twitter. I didn't know how to answer it so I ignored it for a few days.
Yet I didn't want people to perceive me as a company unwilling to answer so I had to find an answer. I am aware that the question is created with a marketing strategy in mind. The pressure that question presented was very real to me. Therefore I asked hubby what motivated him, I asked all 5 kids what motivated them, I even asked a woman in the checkout line what motivated her.
Each person I asked gave a different answer and none that I felt pertained to me. Everyone's answers were so different that really there was no common thread other than the question itself.
I did answer that DM within a few days. Yet since that first DM I have received several inquiries for the same subject on different platforms and I never know the answer.
I do attempt to answer every question yet, it never feels like the right answer.
I feel like this is something people just know.
Yet I'm on the sidelines thinking to myself
"Oh that's a thing"
I'm suppose to know what motivates me
I'm the only one in the world who doesn't know.
Why don't I know, how did I miss the freaking boat on this one.
Well Its been a few months since that first question made its way across my screen. I have given a few different answers and during that process I found it!
I now know with complete certainty what motivates me and it's quite simple
It's the little things
Just that, nothing extravagant, nothing outlandish, it's not even really remarkable to the world. Yet its the world to me.
I took a road trip with hubby a few summers ago, we saw lots of things, we did lots of things. Yet the moment I remember the most is finding a river in a canyon and deciding to pull over and fly a kite.
Last Christmas I don't remember what gifts I received or what the kids received I do remember the I enjoyment of hearing the kids giggle when there all home and I'm lying in bed.
Therefore that's what motivates me.
The little things, the little moments that make up our lives, my life.
A twitter question took me on a self discovery,
One that I'm glad I took..
One I'm thankful for.
So share your thoughts and tell me what motivates you?
