National Kindness day is celebrated annually on November 13th.
Which just so happens to be tomorrow.
This wonderful day was first launched in 1998. The idea around creating such a day
was that it would help to promote kindness that would benefit the world.
National Kindness Day is a day where all are encouraged to be spontaneous in our goodwill gestures. To everyone and anyone that you come across.
This meaningful movement has grown quite a bit over the years.
It's a great little annual reminder to not just encourage kindness on November 13th,
but all throughout the entire year. Random acts of kindness don't necessarily need to big these big grand gestures. They can be small and most importantly they can be free!
A smile to a stranger is free! It cost you nothing and can be infectiously contagious.
It's a small insignificant goodwill gesture that has the ability to spread innocently from one to another. It's a goodwill gesture that keeps on giving and giving.
Did I mention it was free?
Over the years there have been quite a few different studies published about the connection between positivity in your brain among happiness and kindness.
This is big and here is why...
When sharing a smile you begin to create two things.
One is a positive loop in your brain and one in the brain of the person
who received your glorious smile. Meaning both your brains are creating positive loops.
Science has found a link between being kind and our happiness. Which means we are not only happy when we are kind, but you help to make someone else happy by being kind.
National Kindness Day may be tomorrow, but why not start a day earlier.
It's good for you, it's good for the people around you, and it's good for the world.
Happy Monday Everyone!
Thavin & Marcob is a place where you are celebrated for being you!
