December 11th is #NationalMountainDay!
We happily live right by the North Cascade Mountains here in the Pacific Northwest.
So getting to the mountains is only a few hours journey. Which my family is in love with because we absolutely adore the mountains. Let's Celebrate International Mountain Day Together this year. Even if you can't make it out into the mountains today, you can still send love and appreciate to one of mother natures greatest gifts.
I know I am not alone when I say nature is undoubtable absolutely amazing. Especially so when it retains its original glory and is untouched by the man's fingers. The trees are huge, the fields are plentiful, and the rocks are statues. I know better than anyone how easy it is to get caught up in day to day activities. Which is why I am always stun at how breathless I can be when I once again realize how peacefully beautiful the wilderness is that surrounds us so calmly everyday is.
We are always so busy there are times that we just honestly do not realize that we are consistently surrounded by noise. It's every where, whether it is a plane, a car, the tv, or music softly playing in the background. No matter where you turn there is noise to be heard. Absolute silence is a rarity to come by now a days except for in the mountains. There the serene quietness allows you so much still silence that you can hear the breathe enter and leave your lungs. Your ears are humbly granted with the sounds of the leaves crunching underneath your feet, with the sounds of a soulful and majestic bird softly floating through the air above you. It is moments as such where peaceful still silence is allowed that we can reacquaint ourselves with the earth and all its true and marvelous wonders.
It's Important To Do Your Share
The harsh reality is our world is being polluted more and more everyday. It's easy to get caught up in ones life and to be so worried about oneself. This disconnect from nature makes it easier for ones heart to loose its pure connection with the wilderness. Making adventure days even more so important than ever. When you allow yourself the time and opportunity to once again walk among the birds and trees. You grant your heart and mother nature the opportunity to once again reconnect. Nature is worth preserving, its vast wonders and majestic creatures are worth the extra effort. It is important to do your part to preserve the environment, to keep the air clean, the waters fresh, the ground crisp, the plants breathing, and the animals strong.
