I love hiking. There is just something about the fresh air, the feeling of adventure, and the aww of nature that truly captivities me. Fall is personally my favorite season to go hiking in. I love the cool chill in the air as well as watching the leaves change colors. While Autum/Fall will always be my favorite season to hiking in. Summer is also an excellent season to hit up some of my favorite Pacific Northwest trails. Here are my all time top five trails to hike during any season.
This park is literally 15 minutes away from home. It is a wonderful park. So wonderful in fact that my family and I always make sure to camp out there at least once a year. Deception has it all from hiking trails to beaches. There is not one spec of the park that is not covered in glorious nature and wildlife. The park is very clean and all of the trails have their own individual special feel to them.
If you follow us on Instagram you may have already seen these pictures before. The bluff trail is a very magical trail. In that it runs along the hills of Coupeville. The trail also gives you amazing views of the ocean. The trail dose get pretty narrow and high in elevation. So I have only gone as far as I can possibly go. Even then I still love this trail and recommend that all of you who can hike it one sunny summer day.
Lake Whatcom Trail
This is the perfect trail to pack a delicious picnic! The water is so clear that you're going to want to hang out and enjoy the view for hours. This trail is also pretty great for bike rides. In the Autumn/Fall season you are able to see three beautiful waterfalls. However they are not necessarily there during the warmer summer months, but the hike is still very much worth it.
Wallace Falls Trail
The first time I experienced this trail it was truthfully like stepping into a mystical wonderland. The enormous trees tower above you along the trail's side. They help to guide you ever so gently into the magical world that mother nature has created.
Once you reach the first yep the first waterfall you are completely taken in.
This one is a must do if you have never been!
La Push located near Forks Washington. Might just sounds slightly familiar to some of you. That is because it was the setting place for a popular movie series. Aside from the Hollywood glow placed on this beautiful area located here in the Pacific Northwest. The beaches are actually understatedly breathtaking. The in my opinion help to make you realize how big and amazing the world really is. My personal favorite is the Second Beach, but all three are exceptional places to visit and hike around.
Thavin & Marcob is a place where you are celebrated for being you!
