The Crazy and Hilarious Moments Continue
The Summer weekends can be generous in both sunshine and laughter. One weekend in particular was no exception. Roughly three weeks after we opened our doors for the first time. I was gifted with one of the best, funniest, and almost animated moments of the Summer season so far. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit our shop in La Conner WA. Then you might be unaware that we have two rather large clear windows in the front of our shop. Durning the afternoon right as it was beginning to slow down. A family passed by the front of our shop. It was hot and they appeared to be tried. So the lingered in the shaded cool hallway. To figure our what activity they should do next I pursume. The women that were with them left to look inside another shop. This left the three men outside to enjoy the shade and to talk amongst themselves. One of the men walks towards the window to glance in. At the time our desk was placed cozily in a corner. I think that he was so busy looking in and enjoying his break of walking to realize that I was standing behind the counter. As he turns to walk away, I am not kidding with you, one of the best most extraordinaryily hilarious things happened. As he turns to walk back to his family. He dramatically lifts up the back of his shirts. He then proceeds to shove his hand down his pants. Not just down his pants, but down his underwear as well. Just seeing this made my eyes go wide and a few giggles escape my mouth. With his hand in his pants he then begins to scratch his butt. This man did not just scratch his bare butt in front of my store window. He lifted the opposite leg to the check he was sractching and shock his leg as he was scratching his bare butt in front of my store window, in broad daylight. Never have I ever witnessed a grown man itch his bare butt in public. Nor have I ever witnessed a grown man do it so dramatically and with such purpose. It was one of those moments where you know you should look away, but can't. I was frozen in that moment with bewilderment. After seeing such a hilarious moment go down in front of me. I could not hold in my laughter. I then to proceed to laugh so loud and so hard that I start to snort. All three men hear me and turn to look inside the store. Like a child I duct down under the counter as an attempt to stifle my fit of giggles that have erupted inside me. After several minutes of having to stare at the wall with a smile that threatens to break the dam that holds back a giant wave of unstoppable laughter I settle down. The family also regathers into a group and leaves after a few more embarrassing and awkward minutes.
This is one of the funniest things that I have witnessed in my two months of being open is La Conner WA. I hope that as the year continues I will be granted with more funny stories to share with all of you. If you have any stories that have sent you into a fit of laughter please share below or through any of our other Social Medias. We would love to hear about some of the funny situations that you find yourself in.
Hope you have Great Day.

Sure, they’re stunning, they’ve got that serious glare all figured out, their walk is impeccable and they’re always toned and fit. However, those are only a few of the abundance of reasons why we love, (and let’s face it, envy) supermodels. The main reason we’re in awe of them is that elusive je ne sais quoi quality that makes these girls supermodels with a capital S. And while we were only allowed glimpses of the supermodels of the previous generation (Cindy, Naomi, Linda), the Digital Age has given birth to a whole new kind of supermodels. Through different platforms, but mostly Instagram, they share tidbits of their personal lives and an abundance of insight into their off-duty style. Working so close with designers, they have the inside scoop on what is hot, and now, we mere mortals can also achieve that elusive quality, so let’s see how the best of them do it and snag the wisdom for ourselves.
Clothes are made for playing

Because they’re so in tune with trends, when off-duty, they take the liberty to play with clothes, mix different styles and make it all work. Let’s look at Karlie Kloss for instance. The model had done the unthinkable by matching black, white and camel, and she pulls it off. She took a classic, sleek black trousers and white shirt look, and added an oversized camel trench coat. The look appears slightly underdone, which is the entire point, as some of the world’s best dressers are all about achieving the effortless. Another great example of playfulness as well as trendsetting and rule-breaking is the look Bella Hadid is sporting. The model is channeling the ‘90s vibe with a mini denim skirt and a jacket to match. In addition to that, she is breaking all rules with those white ankle boots (we thought white boots are out). Finally, there is Gigi, who manages to look effortlessly striking although she paired a super-sexy nude slip dress with a bomber jacket. So, when in doubt, just remember the crazy matching skills these girls have and go with your inner model instinct.
Embracing and reinventing athleisure

If supermodels are to be trusted (and they are), athleisure is another trend we should keep a close watch on. Take a cue from Bella, who was spotted in London wearing chic red pants paired with white ankle boots, but the twist was in the top – she strutted down in a big hoodie like it was no big deal. Once reserved only for the gym and kept away from the eyes of the world, hoodies and tracksuits are now taking over the streets. Leggings, sports tops, long hoodie jackets, everything once reserved for a good workout is now a major fashion yes. Lesson: the next time you think your worn-in jeans and a gray sweatshirt aren’t good enough for the streets just think of Alessandra Ambrosio and put that insecure mind to rest.
Accessories on point

Supermodels might be quite casual and careless with clothes, but the one thing they will never forget is to always keep their accessorizing game strong. Whether they step out in full glamazon mode or just throw on a hoodie and a pair of sneakers, they will never forget to elevate the look with a great, great bag. Scroll down the Purse Blog carefully, and you will notice that none of them, regardless of the rest of their getup, are ever caught without a great designer bag. You know what to do, you need to step up your purse game and invest in at least one, or better yet, several amazing Italian designer leather bags. It’s obvious that a great bag is the glue that holds the entire outfit together. Of course, let’s not forget about eyewear. Perhaps they use it to hide their eyes from the paparazzi flashes, but our guess is, they know that great shades make all the difference. You have two options: find a pair that flatters the shape of your face or take a peek inside Hadid's Closet and see which shades have the supermodel stamp of approval.
All about that face

While they have little control over the hair and makeup situation when preparing for a shoot or a strut down the catwalk, when off-duty, these girls flaunt their natural beauty. They know that the secret lies in great skincare and minimal makeup. Miranda Kerr even founded her own skincare brand called Kora Cosmetics, because she wasn’t happy with the amount of natural and organic skincare offer out there. The no-makeup makeup look is great, but healthy and altogether makeup-free face is even better. Embrace your natural beauty and let the world see you. If they can, you can. Just make sure your hair is always healthy and clean, that’s a supermodel priority.
The Summer Season is in full swing. Especially here in The Great Northwest. Even though Summer is a the perfect time of year to lay out in the sun and go for water filled adventures. It is also the season for weddings, BBQ's, backyard parties, and of course the normal work week. In honor of having to get properly dressed up for such situations. This blog post is dedicated to the tips and tricks that we use in order to get the most out of our makeup on a hot Summer day.
OIL ABSORBANT SHEETS
These are a must!
Oil Absorbent Sheets are a life saver. They help to keep my face from looking sweaty as well as help to prevent my makeup from getting blotchy. They are a quick fix if you find yourself in a situation where you can't touch up your makeup. Oil Absorbent Sheets are also just great at making you feel refreshed on those hot Summer days.
SunScreen is always a must for me. It is better to not have to worry about burning or causing your skin damage while your out having fun. I like to put it on after I moisturize and right before I put on my foundation. Adding this into my routine has not only helped my skin look and feel healthier, but has also allowed me to enjoy the Sun a lot more now than I am not worried about burning.
Has with SunScreen for you skin, I like to use a chapstick with SPF in it. This way I know that even my lips are protected from the shinning rays of the sun. I also like most hate the feeling of dehydrated lips. So make sure to use a lip glass, lip conditioner, and or a lipstick hopefully with some SPF in it. This way every inch of your face is protected and you can go right along enjoying you day.
WATER PROOF MASCARA
Instead of using a regular Mascara use a Water Proof one instead. This way if a playful child splashes you in the face you don't have to worry or rush off to the bathroom to make your you are not left with raccoon eyes. Skip the worry and use a Water Proof Mascara.
KEEP IT LIGHT
If you can or the event your going to calls for it. Try to wear a small amount of makeup. Keeping your makeup light will help to ensure that your pores do not get clogged if you get sweaty. It will also help you to feel fresher and increase your time of having fun and enjoying the Summer sun. By decreasing the amount of times you have to step away to freshen up your makeup. I like to use a tinted moisturizer followed up by a little bronzer and Water Proof Mascara.

During our two months of being open in La Conner WA we have had some hilariously memorable incidents happen in our store front. These types of moments are always welcome because they help both my family and I to take a step back and enjoy the moment. Sometimes anyone of us can get caught up in that work grind and forget to make every moment count. Its moments that truly stop us in our tracks and have us laughing nonstop. That help to remind us that while we are trying to run a professional business. We also need to enjoy life and enjoy this time in our live for it won't happen again.
None of the stories that we share through our LifeStyle Blog or through any of our Social Media Accounts is in no way intended to be mean, malicious, or hurtful to anyone. We will keep all parties anonymous and try our best to make sure no one is offend or hurt through the telling's of each instance. If for some reasons you are depicted in one of our stories and are uncomfortable in any way. Please do not hesitate to let us know. We will promptly apologize and fix/rectify the problem for you.
With that being said here is one of the first absolutely funny moments that have happened to us within our two month opening period.
THE DOG DID WHAT!
It was only our first week of being open down in La Conner WA when our first hilarious memorable moment happened. A nice women walks into our shop as happy as can be to see what kinds of items and fashions our Boutique was carrying. Along side her was an absolutely beautiful dog. The dog was exceptionally calm and well mannered. He even came up to me to say hello.
If you have not made it out to our store front then it is vital to the story that you know we put a few items next to our front door. In the first week or two the outside of our shop was fairly bare. At the time we had a clothing rack and a few wool baskets that contained our grab bags in them. As the women and I were talking just outside the door. Her dog begins to sniff around one of the baskets. In a matter of milliseconds I realize what is going to happen very soon. My eyes begin to grow wide and my mind is racing as the dog begins to lift its legs and pee right on the basket. I didn't want to upset my customer or make the dog feel bad because he did technically "go" outside. The only thing I could think to do was to politely address the dog and tell him no. That might be a bit understated. I had a sense of panic, fear, worry, and politeness in my voice as I repeatedly said "no, no, no, no, no". The dog was great and obviously well trained because after the first "no" left my mouth he had stop mid stream and began to lower his leg back down. In the moments leading after he put his leg down I just stood there. I had no idea what to do. I didn't want to yell at the dog or the women. I didn't want to make either of them feel bad by rushing over to see if he had hurt the merchandise that was in the baskets. I ended up just standing there for a few moments not really knowing what the appropriate reaction should be.
The women was busy looking at different items, so she did not actually see her dog as he began to lift his leg or as he was peeing on my basket. When she heard me say "no" in the direction of her dog she turned to me and asked what he had done. I told her as nicely as I could that her dog just went pee on some of my merchandise. She then proceeds to discipline her dog. As I quickly try to clean up the mess. I am already uncomfortable and unsure of how to act. As I am franticly and awkwardly trying to clean up the mess I am also trying to explain to the women that it is not her dogs fault because he did go outside. I'm trying my best to clean up the mess as fast as possible as well as get the dog off of getting in trouble because I really did feel like it wasn't his fault. As all of this is going on another women and her dog pass by. She asks what happened and I attempt to calmly and politely explain. The only think that is running through my mind is "I swear I'm not a dog hater. I love them in fact, I have two". After all the excitement dies down I'm left with the thought that this shit has to happen to other people, my goodness. Its okay to laugh at me because no shame I did. Right after the women and her dog left I busted out in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Even now I can't help, but to laugh at how uncomfortable, awkward, and caught off guard I was by the whole situation. It was a hilarious situation and one that I will never forget.
If any of you have had a similar experiences please share it with us in the comment section below or through any of our other Social Medias. I would love to hear your stories. I would also love to learn that I am not the only one who has experience some hilariously unexpected scenarios.
