What are the Indoor Blues? Okay, yes I may have just made up a phrase to describe how I am currently feeling. Although the phrase "Indoor Blues" just popped into my head of how to describe how I am feeling. I am 100% sure that at some point if not now you have felt the awful effect of the Indoor Blues. Indoor Blues -- a feeling that encompasses not only ones mental state, but also there physically well being. Typically infecting those indoors with a variety of feelings such as and not limited to; FOMO, tiredness, boredom, agitation, restlessness, insatiable hunger, and envy. Can also lead to actions of internet stocking, doodling, day dreaming, and window gazing. With Moving the House and Boutique. I have had no real time to go out and enjoy the Beautiful weather we have been having. It has left me with The Dreaded Indoor Blues. While I have had a few chances to sneak outside and enjoy the sun rays. I have practically been stuck indoors. While it is Exciting to be able to move into my Dream Home and to be able to Move into a Bigger Location in Downtown Oak Harbor. The Adventurer and Explorer in me still wants to be outside. I love the outdoors and always have. This is why the Indoor Blues really gets me and admittedly does add on a little frustration because all I want to do is quickly get done with all the important things. So that I can finally enjoy a relaxing day at the beach to unwind and chill. There may be Only One Real Cure, Thinking about it yes, there does only seem to be one real cure for the Indoor Blues. That would be to just Go Outside. Although I know for people like myself where work at this time has to come first it seems practically impossible. So while you may not be able to Cure your Indoor Blues until your next day off. You can follow a few of these helpful Remedies to help lessen the Horrid effect of the Indoor Blues. Remedies for the Indoor BluesThere are a few little things that you can do to help with the Indoor Blues. 1) Drink your desired morning beverage outside. I have found that waking up just a few minutes early and enjoying my coffee on the back porch is the perfect thing to do. To not only help wake me up, but to also let me spend a few precious minutes outside listening to the birds chip, the wind blow, and the have the sun kiss my face awake. 2) Eat your lunch outside. I am all too well known for working through lunch. There are just some times where inspiration or productivity will hit and I just don't want to break it so I power through. Although I have found that stopping and enjoying a nice lunch outside or even just opening a window and breathing in fresh air. Helps to not only inspire inspiration, but also helps to lessen the Indoor Blues that fill me with the desire to procrastinate. 3) Take some time to go for a nice quick walk outside. It does not have to be fancy or anything crazy. Like a 6 mile trek through the wilderness. Just a simple stroll through ones neighborhood before or after work. I personally like to sneak away to the beach and walk one of the short simple trails. This should present you with enough time enjoying nature and the sun to be able to get back into the office and work your butt off. That way when your day off comes around you will not have to worry about what needs to be done at work because you will have already accomplished it.
