Our lives are full. We are busy creating new pathways, letting go of the past, and of course, writing our story. We all have stresses that come at us from every corner of our lives. We love to love, we love to live, and we love who we are on most days. There is always, always, always room for more joy in our everyday. Because let's be real for a second a
is quite literally your best accessory!
We have all heard the question:
Is Your Glass Half Full Or Half Empty
The point of the question is that you get to decide. It's all up to you. Do you see that you have enough to make everything good, or do you see what you're lacking? What you're missing? You have the power within yourself to decide if you're going to find joy, or if your not. It's a decision that only you can make. So today is that day. Choose to see the joy in the life you have created.
Love Who You Are
Saying you love yourself is a hell of a lot easier said than done. We are all imperfect, which means we all seem to dwell in our flaws more then we should. Sometimes our flaws are all we see all we can take the time to acknowledge. Therefore this statement is not something you can say and hope for the best. You have to work at it every day. Every day it has to be a conscientious decision to yourself. Over and over again, you must take the time to remind yourself that everyone is imperfect. You are not the only one; it's okay to love your imperfect self on the daily!
Sing Out Loud
Life tends to be a little too serious sometimes. It's true; we are all working hard to conquer the day or slay those fucken obstacles out of the way. However, your day should be silly. Adding a little bit of fun into your day is as important as drinking all that water your suppose to be drinking. Sing out loud, ignore the world around you, and just be a pure no hold bar you for a minute!
This is the one I struggle with the most. I'm not that head to the gym everyday kind of girl, but you know what I do enjoy a nice walk. That is something I can fit in every day. I don't worry about how far I go, I don't worry about how many calories I'm burning off, and I don't worry about whether or not I have weights in my hands or on my ankles. I just enjoy the tunes playing on my headphones and the environment around me.
Look At The World From A New Prospective
Have an issue you can't quite work through. Sometimes taking a moment to walk away from the problem is helpful. If that doesn't work for me, a new perspective helps. Wither it's thinking outside the box or heading to the park to just lay underneath a very large tree.
Let Others In
When things get rough, we tend to close the doors. We shut into ourselves, and we don't realize that is what we are doing within the moment in time where we need everyone who loves us around us. Friends, family, far and near are the ones who remind us when we can't see the light that we are powerful, we are loved, we are valued, and we are not only important to the world we bring joy into it. Our presence is as important as fresh air. Choose to let others in, choose to allow others to bring the joy to you when you can't seem to get there on your own.
Create A Joy Journal
Were you breezing through the day with productivity and efficiency? Did all the pieces fit together just right? Was there one moment that stood out the most? Write that shit down! Creating a Joy Journal helps look back and realize what it is that actually brings joy into your life, into your everyday. Don't just live the joy of the day, remember it, and celebrate your joy.
