This month is all about celebrating your unique personality.
A great way that we utilize to showcase to the world our unique personalities
is letting our inner fashionista magically blend with your socially conscientious side.
One of our absolute favorite ways to achieve such an amazing blend is to
enhance our everyday outfits with fashions that are Ethically Made.
It is a great win-win situation because not only do each of us have the opportunity
to showcase to the world our personality. We also have the opportunity to
celebrate someone else by supporting fashions that are Ethically Made.
What Does Ethically Made Mean?
Ethically Made clothing is so special in its own right. One of the very extraordinary characteristics of all Ethically Made Clothing is that it is Fair Trade.
Fair Trade mindset - Employees of the manufacture are all guaranteed to receive a Fair Pay for their work.
Which means no one person is being taken advantage of, used, forced, mislead, or undervalued. Every employee is valued as a person that provides a useful skill. Being paid fairly for your work also has the incredible feeling of making a person feel like that have dignity and rightfully so. No one deserves to be underpaid, forced, or used, by any other person. Dignity is this feeling that can really change a persons outlook on life. I have great passion when it comes to all people having the ability to lead a life some dignity. Which is why Ethically Made clothing is how I chose to show the world my unique personality.
Safe Work Environments
Another grand trait that is connected to all Ethically Made clothing is that every piece of fashion is assembled in a Safe Working Environment. Meaning your seamstresses are not subjected to working in a facility that is potentially harmful to them. Crafting clothes shouldn't be considered a dangerous line of work. Which is why I fully support Ethically Made clothing because I personally do not believe that any person should risk getting hurt so that I can wear a cute blouse.
A New Path
Taking a deeper dive into some Ethically Made fashions you may find that quite a few are in support of a cause. For instance, our Sports Headbands are crafted by women leaving the sex slave industry. Making these headbands is a huge step for these women because they are learning a trade. In a Safe Working Environment that never undervalues their work or strips them away of their dignity.
It's meaningful causes like such that I will always happily
accept a new piece of Ethically Made fashion into my wardrobe.
Another worthy and meaningful cause that can be interwoven into some Ethically Made fashion is that they are in support of disabled workers. While not the case for every piece. If you're lucky you'll find a grand piece of fashion worth showing off.
I love that there are manufactures specializing in creating jobs for individuals with disabilities. It allows those with disabilities to create a life with dignity that may have otherwise been denied to them. Which is one of the reasons why this is one of my new loves.
Other Social Causes
There are also Ethically Made fashions that are manufactured in No Waste facilities.
Meaning No Trash is being made or polluting the surrounding environment.
You can also discover grand styles of fashions that are assembled completely out of recycled material. I think it is amazing how you can take the old and not only see something new and beautiful in it but also actually handmake a unique fashion from it.
