As many of you know we had a team member Participate in a Spartan Race a few weeks ago. It was such a Joy and really Amazing to watch her Shine while out there on the Course. It was also a lot of fun to watch the other Racers out there having the Time of there Lives on the Course. Even though I was a Spectator this time around I still Learned a lot from the experience.
Teamwork was the motivation for the day! I saw people hang out and wait for there teammates, I saw strangers helping out stranger during an obstical. It was amazing to see in all reality because your kinda left in aww and the thought of what if it was like this everywhere every day of our whole lives what if we encouraged instead of put down, would the world be a better place then and if this group of strangers could manage to accomplish this why cant we see more of that outside the court. It was a profound start to the day.
The Hustle everyone put into the effort to start and finish this race was beyond amazing and inspiring to all of us who were on the side lines. They worked hard to get there and harder to finish and did I mention the team work I saw between strangers.
The Spartan race is challenging its tiring, you want to stop, you want to take a short cut, but you can't you have to keep going. You have crawled through the mud , jumped into the mud your gross your dirty but guess what your determined to finish, And everyone who crossed that finish line deserved a huge cheer from the spectators because they freaken did it!
TAKING THE CHALANGE IN STRIDE
Even though you could tell people where feeling tired and dirty . They took each new challenge placed in frount of them in stride. They didn't stress over it the just looked at it said okay and continued on. They asked strangers for help, they asked teammates for work.
Everyone was a winner that day.
They were not winners because what place the finished or because of there race time. They were winners because they cared for those around them because the uplifted compleate strangers and they finished a race the hustled to train for. They won that day because there determination for success did not turn them in assholes but allowed them to encourage and pause to stop and help those who needed it.
Plans are being made for next years race even as I type out this article. And I'm in aww that next year we will have a few more teammenmbers particpiating, working together to accomplish this amazing personal goal.
