We have actually chatted about those freaken outdated fashion rules on here before. Although I have a hunch that there are still some of us holding onto them as if they came from some fashion rule book. So today I'm here to give you the absolute best golden rules for fashion.
Expensive Or Not
We all have to live within budgets. It's not a just you thing; it's an everyone thing. Everyone's budgets are different based off of their unique standing. I know that sometimes we can find ourselves in a headspace of expensive is better, but it's important to remember that the price tag does not hold as much value as you think. If you can buy it in the moment good for you, if you have to wait and save a bit, that's okay too, if you opted for a cheaper version then who gives a damn. Fashion is about your individual self-expression, not how much money you make.
Bras Are Sexy
I spent years in those boring breastfeeding bras, which might be a part of the reason I am into all of the sexy freeing bras that are available in retail. We live in an age where if you don't need to cover your bra straps because it is just too risky for the public. If you got it and want to, flaunt it, style up a see-through shirt with a lacy bralette, rock standard straps with a racerback tank top. It's your body and your bra, do what you want.
Who The Fuck Cares If You're Tall Or Short
I am relatively short, which is why 50% of the time, you will spot me in heels; this is just my personal preference. Regardless of the style of shoe I choose, I still wear wide-leg pants, maxi dresses, long skirts, and jumpsuits. I don't let my height stop me from dressing how I want to, why let yours. I am over hearing usually short women love a fashion but complain that it's just too long for them. Not to be rude or anything, but if you love it freaking wear it. There are ways to get around length issues like heels, alterations, or just roll it up if you want. Don't let your height dictate what fashions you rock.
So What If It's Old
Vintage is always in; I don't care what the season is, what the trend is, there is just a little touch of class that comes with vintage clothing. So yes you should be raiding your moms closet or even better your grandmothers because I'm willing to bet ya there are some amazing finds in there.
Your Bag Is Where It's At
I love bags, and in all honesty, I do own quite a few in different colors and styles. Although here's the thing, locating that perfect everyday bag is essential to making your day easier. You don't want to have to change out your purse every day. I mean that's a lot of unnecessary work for a morning routine. Don't give up on that hunt for the perfect everyday bag. You'll be using it every day for some time, so if you love something a little pricey. Don't feel guilty about purchasing it. Wardrobe staple items play by different rules than ones of simple season trends.
