Oh Spring, I have been waiting so long for you to get here. While I am so gracious that my long lost friend has finally decided to pop in for a visit. I have to admit that when it comes time to buckle down and work I am having an incredibly hard time staying focused! All I want todo is go outside and bask in the warmth of the sun and to feel the cool breeze brush past my face. Even though this is my greatest wish I must remember that I have goals and tasks that I would like to accomplish.
I know I am not the only one out here which is
why I'm sharing my top 5 tips for staying focused!
Dressing For The day
We are all about fashion here at Thavin & Marcob. In fact I'm always sharing my current loves or new favorites with you. Although I find that for myself fashion is not just a form of personal expression. I utilize my wardrobe as a tool to help me stay focused throughout the day. I love styling my outfit of the day with both a pair of my favorite heels and my favorite sneakers. This way when the time calls for an adventurous walk I can slip on my sneakers and by fully prepared. The switch in shoes is not only a great comfort advantage it is also a great mental one. I know that when my heels are on it is time to work and when I switch over to my sneakers it is time for myself to take a litttle lunch break and explore.
Schedules Are Your Friends
If I purposely set aside time in my schedule to adventure outside then I will have a much grander time getting through my work day. I find there is less temtation to day dream or procrastinate if I know that at some point during the day I will get to explore outside and bath in the warm sun rays of Spring.
Tackle The Hard Stuff First
I always make it apparent to complete the more tasking tasks first. This way I can tackle said tasks with higher levels of energy, motivation, and focus. Reserving the easy stuff for later in the day helps to easily wind down the day for myself.
Organization Is Your Nightly Bestie
Organizing the night before helps tremendously. If I plan on tomorrows schedule the night before it helps me to mentally prepare for the days events in advance. Which always works for me because if I know what I need to get done. Not only am a more than capable of getting it down. I'm also allowing myself with the opportunity to completely relax during my scheduled sun time.
The Why Factor
My last tip is an important one for me I call it the Why Factor. I ask myself the following, why do I do what I do, why am I really here, and why is this important to me. If I can answer all of these questions with out pausing to think about it then my why questions/answers keep me mentally going. It keeps me focused always. My why is the only true reason why staying focused is important to me. In turn keeping me focused even when the Spring sun is tempting me through the blinds of my windows.
What special things do you do to stay focused and to
stay on track towardsyour goals?
I would love to hear all about them so please share.
