Wow! Can you believe today is March 1st? I know I can't, it really did creep up on me this month. Even so, I am so excited to share with you our March Windows and of course the story behind them. March for us is all about "Flying Into New Journeys"! Which of course is the theme that captures our two large storefront windows. A few years ago when we decided to create a company, all we had was a dream. We then named that dream, built that dream, and in turn made our dream a reality. Our ideas felt big, scary, and a large gamble. Even though those feelings loamed over every joyous idea or spark of imagination we persisted and we were determined to turn our passion and love into a company that we could celebrate and continually strive to make better. Through our journey we have celebrated, cried, pulled our hair out, laughed, smiled, and picked ourselves up time and time again when we failed. Our journey finds us here today standing tall, strong, determined, and full of passion. Our Journey has just started, I can't even say we are in the middle because we are always striving to be better, to do more, and to be more. We continuously push ourselves to the limit and then once we reach that limit, guess what? We push further and harder, accepting no limitations or boundaries. It's a journey of love, of growth, of acceptance, of ideas, of failures, and of lessons. This month there are roughly 200 paper airplanes in our windows. Shout Out to our team member who folded all of them for us, we appreciate you greatly. There should honestly be a lot more than a rough estimate of 200 in order to craft a true vision of what we wish to present to you this March. While the phrase we chose is "Flying Into New Journeys". Our red paper planes do not represent new journeys, new adventures, or new possibilities. Our red paper planes represent our failures. They represent all of those moments we fell flat on our faces. Those moments we realized our idea actually wasn't that great. All of the planes that you see zooming across our storefront windows is not only a physical representation of our failures it is also one of the lessons learned because with each failure you encounter has the ability to send you on a completely different journey than the one before. Only this time with a little more knowledge under your belt. Our Journey is about building a company that we can be undeniably proud of. One that values the uniqueness of our individual selves, which includes yours. Our goal is to create a place that you can feel safe in shopping. To feel safe in knowing that we curated quality goods for you with your personality in mind. With every failure and lesson learned our journey seems to reset in a sense. We reevaluate our choices, our decisions, and make a now more educated choice on how to be true to ourselves and true to you. Everyone here at Thavin & Marcob is on a continuous journey of always learning always growing. Which is why this month we are taking a moment to celebrate each and every failure that resulted in a valuable lesson. A big driving force in our lives is Thavin & Marcob which is what our failures and lessons center around. However never forget the fact that you are on your own journey. You could be traveling down one single path or a bunch of paths that are intertwined. We may see our journey and our failures in the planes, but they can easily represent your own because you are important and your failures are worth celebrating. For you would not be the wonderful self you are today without them. We think it is important to acknowledge and celebrate your failures and here's why. 1. They shape us. They present us with the opportunity to look a little deeper at ourselves. To reevaluate not only the situation, but ourselves in that situation. Allowing yourself to in turn become more knowledgeable for the next time something similar comes up. 2. They allow us to grow. The more we understand about others, ourselves, or certain subjects. The more opportunities you have to grow mentally and emotionally. 3. We keep going. It's hard on the best of days to keep going, but it's almost impossible if you feel like the roadblock you have hit is bigger and stronger than you are. When you finally break through that roadblock the feeling of overwhelming accomplishment and success makes it all worth it. You are strong and extremely capable and now so much wiser from it. It Doesn’t matter who you are or what you do. We all fail. We are all human after all and that means we are imperfect. We are always learning and always growing. Therefore yes you should celebrate your failures because without failures we wouldn't appreciated the wins nearly as much.
