I am incredibly passionate about my job. I love sharing my passions with everyone that I meet.
I am fortunate enough to meet a lot of amazing people online through our outstanding Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook Community. Although I have noticed that my passions seem to be lost in translation from screen to screen. Once I noticed that I embarked on a quest to learn how to properly portray my passions while not just engaging in an in-person conversation, but also through the conversations I have with the amazing people I interact with online.
Carmine Gallo is the author of the book Talk Like TED
While I have not had time to read the entire book, I have had time to listen to a short auto reading of a section of the book. Within this section, I amazingly learned the key element that I believe to have been missing. Here is all that I learned from this short clip.
Asking the wrong questions
I realized that I was asking myself all the wrong questions when it came to sharing my passions.
When someone asked why I do what I do, my answer is always, "My love for fashion is my drive".
Which is a true statement, my love for fashion is why I have the job I have and why I love it. Although after some thought I realized that my answers lack in both luster and depth.
I do love fashion, but my passion does not simply end there. It also greatly extends to all of the people each piece of fashions affects.
I am going to use our Cashmere Scarf as an example to help display to you what I learned.
Our Cashmere Scarf Facts
*Perfectly knitted for cold days
*Loomed by disabled wearers
I think that all of these facts are amazing and worth sharing to everyone and anyone.
Although while these facts are phenomenal, these facts alone are not where my true passions lie.
At the end of the day, a scarf is just a scarf. It's a very nice luxury scarf yes, but a scarf nonetheless. However, when you take a deeper look into the scarf you will see all of the beautiful gems that are interwoven into its chic design. These gems are where my passions lie.
Our Cashmere Scarf is manufactured in an environment that welcomes disabled workers. This scarf helped to create a job for people who otherwise would have struggled immensely to find one. This scarf helps to empower people I will never meet. It helps to change lives for the better, by abling a real and worthy person of dignity in spite of their disability. Our Cashmere Scarf while yes just a scarf also supports a better change in someone's life.
The scarfs undeniable positive effects that it has on the world is my passion.
It's 100% Cashmere and under $100.00, but it's the fact that it has a fundamental impact of someone across the world is beyond priceless in my opinion. It's why I absolutely love this product and why Thavin & Marcob carries it both in our Store Front and our Online Boutique. My passion lies in helping to be a part of the positive change that ripples through the lives of people around the globe.
Thavin & Marcob is a place where you are celebrated for being you!
