I'll admit I am not always consistent when it comes to working out on the daily. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I either am too busy to go to the gym and work out or I am just too tired to even put any energy into any kind of workout. My lovely daughter however is a true beast. She works out all of the time for what seems like hours. Her intensity level is at max when it comes to working out. Where as I am comfortable with a moderate 30 min workout 3 to 4 times a week. I like to get a little sweat on and get my body moving. I also enjoy working out because I find that it is a wonderful distraction from my busy life. I find that the 30 minute distraction actually helps me to be more productive and helps me to come up with better ideas to help further my dream vision for Thavin & Marcob. Since I have found working out to be a incredibly multipurpose positive attribute to my life. I thought it was the perfect Blog idea. I would love to share with all of you one of my favorite workouts. Even better this is a one that can be done quickly and efficiently. So while I might not have the 30 minutes I prefer to devote to working out. I can do this 10 minute work out and still get the wonderful benefits I so desire.
Make Sure To Always Stretch!
Stretching is very important to do no matter what. I like to stretch in the mornings when I wake up, at night before I go to bed, and before I work out. It is important to prepare you muscles for the workout or even the day ahead of them. I like to do the simple stretches that everyone learns in school. I am not about bending my leg and putting it somewhere I don't think it belongs. I find that keeping my stretching routine simple helps me to be somewhat consistent.
Never Forget To Warm Up!
Warming up your body before a work out in incredibly important. The two main and what I feel at the most important reasons to warm up your body before a work out are.
1) Warming up your entire body before a workout prevents you from getting injured.
2)Warming up your body before a workout helps you to preform at your best.
I feel just these two are reason enough for you to give a simple 5 to 10 minutes before a workout. No one wants to injure themselves while trying to work out. There is nothing worse than not being able to work out for 4 weeks because you pulled a muscle. There is also great satisfaction when you know you have completed an exercise or a workout at you highest capability.
If your curious I like to warm up with:
30 Jumping Jacks
30 High Knees
Simple 10 Minute Workout!
This Workout is an Interval Workout. This just means that there are going to do 5 different exercises. Each exercise will be performed for 1 minute. Once 1 minute has ended you will proceed to immediately jump into the next exercise. You will do a to a total of 5 exercises (5 minutes). Then take a rest for as long as you think you need. I typically rest for about 2 minutes, but you can adjust this to better suit you and your body. Once you are ready to jump back in. you will do the same thing you did in the first 5 minutes for the next 5 minutes.
Here is the break down:
4) Toe Touches
The great thing about this workout is that there are so many ways you can change it and customize it to better fit you and your goals. This is just one of the many combinations that I do.
Try It, Enjoy It, and Make It Your Own!
I love this workout set up because it is easy to remember and it can be done in a fair amount of time. I am able to get all of the benefits of working out without having to give up too much time from my day. The great thing about it is that all of these exercises can be done anywhere. I mean anywhere, in your back yard, in your living room, even in the park. There are so many places that this workout works wonderfully with. Which makes it hard for me to find an excuse not to do it. I find this to be while slightly bothersome all in all incredible positive. So go ahead and give it a try. Do it by yourself or with a friends. If you find you don't like one of the exercises go ahead and change one of them out. If it's too long or too short. Simply just change the time. When it comes to working out it is all about your physical and mental well being. If you do end up trying my simple 10 minute at home workout please share with me how it went. I love to hear from all of you.
Hope Your Day Continues On Wonderfully,
