MaKayla and I have morning meeting at least four times a week. I find that it is a great way for us to catch each other up on the plans for that day or inform each other of the things we forgot to tell the other the previous day.
First things first we both must no less than three sip into our coffee. I like to think of myself as a morning bird, but if I don't get at least a little coffee in me. I can be a slightly unpleasant to conversate with. MaKayla on the other hand is not a morning person at all. She loves sleep in days and takes them up on any available chance she gets. This why coffee is a must for the two of us to have a successful, productive, and cheerful morning meeting.
The second must for a happy morning meeting here at ThavinMarcob is breakfast. I'm typically content with my coffee in the morning. However MaKayla loves to enjoy a nice hot breakfast when she wakes up. So to keep the peace and productivity there will be breakfast present.
After some warm sips of coffee and a few mouth fills of food. The morning meeting can officially begin. We will go back and forth telling each other ideas we thought of, things the other might have missed, different things that came up the previous day, ect… We will then also talkl about the game plan for that day and what we each will accomplish.
While taking notes and talking we both try to remember to stay cheerful and positive. We both know based off of our history together that nothing productive happens when we are frustrated or in a bad mood. So we do actively try to keep an open and happy mind frame during our morning meetings.
This is how we conduct Our Morning Meetings so that they may be Productive and Cheerful.

I have lived in the PNW for almost my entire life and I love it here. I love the ocean, the mountains, and the rain. After numerus adventures and many years of experience under my belt. I believe there to be at least Five Must Haves for the Pacific Northwest.
1) Picnic Blanket
You can never go wrong with a Picnic Blanket. I love to always have one in the trunk of my car because you never know when an opportunity for some fun time at the beach will present itself.
2) A Gorgeous Bag
Who doesn't want to carry around a gorgeous bag. I find that when it comes to adventures I always have to opt for a larger bag. Such as a satchel or an adorable tote, but whenever I can you'll always spot me carrying a gorgeous bag on my arm.
3) A Cozy Scarf
Scarfs are my best friend when it comes to the Fall and Winter months. I find that scarfs can be the perfect way to make your outfit pop when you're all bundled up. They also serve the handy purpose of keeping me nice and warm when that cold rain and chilly gusts of wind start to make their presence known.
4) A Hat
Hats are just a great accessory all together. They can give you protection from the wind and rain. Especially so if you took the time to do your hair and/or makeup. Which no one likes to have ruined after hours of hard work. A great hat also helps to add a little extra something to ones outfit. I personally do not wear hats too often, so when I* do my outfit feel extra special. Which is always a welcomed feeling in my book.
5) A Good Read
Last but not least the final item on my list of Five Must Haves for the PNW is a good read. I love to carry a book around either in my purse or card because you never know when the opportunity will present itself with some free time to get in a few pages. One of my absolute favorite things to do is sit by an open window while it rains and read a novel or two. To me there is nothing sweeter than the smell of the rain as it meets the earth accompanied by the adventurous words for a fantastic novel.
This is my List of Top Five Must Haves for the Pacific Northwest.
Do you agree with my choices?
What would be you Top Five?

I personally believe that it is important to be knowledgably about where the products you are purchasing are coming from. I have lived in all sorts of areas. All of which have a very unique market place to suit that demographic. So I know first hand how much of a task it can be to purchase things in a reasonable range that help to support more than just a big box company.

When it came to my 25th wedding anniversary of course I made sure to look into small businesses to help ring in this amazing celebration. I ended up finding two amazing women owned small entrepreneurs.
Save The Dates
Our Save The Dates were created by an amazing designer who we have the privilege of being able to include in our twitter tribe! Ashley Girres was perfect in everyway! She was easy to work with and easy to order from. The work was above and beyond what I anticipated. Quality products made it to my mailbox in a much appreciated timely manner.

Our photographer was amazing. Not only did she allow a last minute booking, she showed up on time, was professional, and took lots of great photos!

August has been a pretty busy month for us and unfortunate our Blog Articles have suffered. I apologize for dropping the ball and not putting out articles during our usual schedule.
I thought today I would highlight some firsts for me that happened in July. I promise our regular schedule of Blogs will resume This coming Monday.
July was an amazing moth.
It was a month that I had the privilege of experiencing a huge amounts of first,
ones that will last a lifetime. First, that while enjoyed in the moment will become amazing memories in the years to come.
If you missed the article on my famous I'm going to learn how to do that magic contouring thing that is all the rage! It was almost a first and well the memory will sure to be funny in the years that come as we remember all the escapades before the wedding of my dreams!
As the years have passed the moments of first with my boys has become wider in time of occurrences. They are growing up, gone our the days of first crawls, first time tastes of real food, first steps. As they grow those special moments naturally happen less often. Last month, I was able to participate in a moment of firsts when we went shopping for there first suits.
It wasn't just the shopping together that was the experience. It was seeing them with fresh eyes, seeing them all grown up, as adults, as these young men who will go out into the world and create a life, a family of there own. In that moment when they walked out of the dressing room in these fresh new suites I saw what others see. I no longer saw children, I suddenly saw them as the young men they had become!
Walking Down The Isle
I did it!
I walked down the aisle in a church towards the man of my dreams.
The one I have built a life with, the one who loves me in spite of my flaws!
We have been married for 25 years and we have had our ups and downs as everyone else has had. We made it!
We did not do the traditional wedding the first time around. We were pretty broke back in the day so we opted for a courtroom marriage and a small reception at my parents home.
This time around I found it was highly important that we take the time to make a statement of our marriage and to celebrate our life together!
The Wedding Dress
Shopping for a wedding dress is an amazing experience in itself. Shopping for a wedding dress with your daughter is purely magical! We talked, we laughed, and we enjoyed spending time together on this very special mission.
The month was filled with lots of firsts for our fantastic day!
Moments that will soon turn into faint memories, yet that's what life is.
Enjoy your moments no matter how small they may appear at the time. They will soon become the memories that bring faint smiles that start upon your lips and slowly warm your heart.
On Monday in part one of wedding disasters I talked about my Ruined Wedding Dress. Today in part two I thought I would share with you two other disasters that I encountered.
This was honestly something that never crossed my mind as a potential disaster. When the idea of having house guests first entered my mind. I could only think of positive things. For instance I thought of the great quality time we could have, I thought about how much help they would be with the wedding, and I thought about how much fun we would have setting up for the wedding. However when it came down to it this was just another disaster.
For the entire month of July I had house guests. Unknowing to myself this would make more of a difference than I would have thought. I had to take more time off of work than I originally anticipated and I also wasn't able to dedicate time to making sure my wedding was getting planned like how I wanted it. My time instead was taken and focused towards meeting the needs of others. It was my job to make sure they were eating and entertained for the entire day. I was under the impression that knowing my wedding was coming up and that I work a 24 hours/7 days a week job. That I would be shown a little love and be helped or at least left alone when I needed it.
Having house guests present on the day of my wedding was also a comical mess. Time was ticking by and we were on a very time sensitive schedule. However my guests just stood around all morning. I didn't get the help I needed when it came to cleaning or decorating. It was an hour before I was supposed to leave for the church when I walked out of my room half dressed to see that my house guests were not even dress and ready to go. I did not for see myself having to baby others on my wedding day. It was honestly just one big crazy mess.
The Set Up -- Decorating
I had a vision for what I wanted the wedding to feel and look like. Although with all of my house guest, their continuous opinions, my time sensitive schedule, exhaustion, and frustration. I found myself walking further and further away from my vision. Which in the end only wasted, my families and I's time, energy, and money. It is no ones fault, but my own. I do believe that it would have been easier to stay truer to my vision if I had made a vision board. Instead of having a mental picture. I believe this would have been easier for everyone to understand and I would have been able to stay closer to my original vision.
My 25th Vowel Renewal Wedding Ceremony was aside from all of the disasters absolutely perfect. I got to renewal my vowels to my beloved husband. I got to share and celebrate the ceremony with my children. I also had the opportunity to ring in our 25th year with life long friends. While yes, there were definitely some things that I would do over differently. I still had a great 25th and am so excited for another 25 years.

Everyone at ThavinMarcob hopes that you have a wonderful Wednesday.
What's a wedding ceremony without a few disasters.
While at the end of the night I was happy and content. There were still some disasters that could have been easily avoided if I had only taken some time to step back and think about how I wanted the big day to work. While in the moment every disaster felt like the world was crumbling right under my feet. When all was said and done I had a great time celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary with my husband, children, and life long friends.
