June was an absolute fabulous month for all of us here at ThavinMarcob.
We have been in our new location for a little over month now and I can honestly say that we have learned so much. In fact more than I thought that we would have learned in just the short while of a months time. I thought today's blog would be the perfect place to share with you a few things we did learn. Here are five things ThavinMarcob learned in the month of June 2018.

Oak Harbor Main Street Association
We learned that Oak Harbor has a Main Street Association! They have been exceptionally helpful and kind to us in our first month in Downtown Oak Harbor. Any question we have always gets answered and they are always more than willing to help when needed. When we moved to our New Location we did not expect to be presented such a happy surprise.
Moving is Not As Easy As it Sounds
The opportunity to move ThavinMarcob came about very spontaneously. It was not something that we had planned on doing or something that we really expected. Even so it was a great adventure. However when it was decided I honestly did not really think about how hard it was going to be. We have run into new issues and are doing our best to learn and to grow. Last month I truly learned that moving the store while spontaneity is always fun. I should now try to take all variables into account.

We all know the phrase growing pains. Last month we actually experienced all sorts of growing pains. I'm excited we had the opportunity to experience it, but goodness there were some moments that let us breathless and overwhelmed!
People Are Amazing
I really shouldn't be surprised. I mean we have had exceptional luck in finding all of you through our social media even so I was still rather surprised. It is always a wonderful surprise when we have someone come into our boutique and have them tell us they follow us on Social Media. We love interacting we all of you online. We also absolutely love it when we can meet you in person and be able to physically show you what you have helped create.

I am continuously pushing myself to expand my limits. Moving the store in the same month I moved into a new home not only showed me how far I have come, but it also showed me that I am more then capable of pushing past any limits I may have placed subconsciously on myself.
We Still Have A Long Way To Go
I love all my accomplishments, I love who I am , who ThavinMarcob is becoming, and who we are as a company. However I have started to realize that I can no longer see the end goal I set for ThavinMarcob as clearly as I once could. As we learn and grow and start to see that ThavinMarcob is full of endless possibilities. That maybe my end goal only put limitations on something that can be even bigger and better than I could have ever imagined it to be.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday.

I love adventures and I love new beginnings. These last few months have been pretty crazy for my family and I. We have moved both house and boutique. I can say that easily in one sentence, but it's crazy that both moves took massive amounts of hard work. We are finally starting to feel settled in both our new home and our boutique. Which makes perfect timing because at the start of this year I realized that it was going to be my 25th Wedding Anniversary at the end of July. I thought that this year was going to be a great year for us to Renew Our Vows to each other.

25 Years and Counting
In less than 4 weeks time my husband will have officially been together for 25 years of marriage. I have no idea how we made it through all of those sleepless nights with the kids when they were little or how we managed to not only do it five separate times but deal with five different children getting sick all at the same time. I can't tell you how we made it through the very frustrating and scary teenage years or how we finally found ourselves witting them well as they prepared for college. Both of us worrying if they were really ready to start the adult world on their own. Ask me today, ask me tomorrow, ask me five years form now how we did it and the answer will always be the same, "I have no freaking clue, all I know is that we stuck by each other not matter what life through our way".

The History Is There
25 years sometimes doesn't feel like a long time, but in actuality it is. It's 25 years spend side by side with the same amazing person. We have history so much history in fact. We together created a life together and an amazing group of young adults. Looking back now it was one of the craziest rides I could have never planned on experiencing. Even in those dark moments when I wasn't sure we were going to make it. The naked truth is that no matter what was said, what was being felt, or what actions were taken towards each other. I would always chose him and he would always choose me. There's comfort in that thought, that knowledge. I have come to learn that for me love is not this perfect fairy tail its messy, hurtful and extremely difficult. I would not trade a moment of it for anything!

Hope your weekend is filled with sunshine.
The last few months for us have be crazy busy. Which is why Tuesday Adventures have sadly had to take a back seat. Although we love adventure too much to give it up completely. We have just simply added more time in between each adventure. This last Tuesday the perfect opportunity for an adventure arose and it was just impossible to pass up on.
When thinking of summer fun several things easily come to mind. Although one of my top favorite things is Summer Baseball Games. My daughter and I love to attend summer baseball games together. Although sadly I had to stay home this time to get the house in order for company. While she got to go out and watch a summer baseball game it was nice to know that one of us got some time to relax and enjoy the summer sunshine.
The adventure started with an hour and a half car ride filled with laughter and the perfect playlist of rode trip jams. Once we finally arrived at the field shock and surprise hit us. Awaiting in line for ticket were at minimum 200 people. That was just the crowd that were already in line this was not including the people like ourselves looking for parking spots or the people already happily sitting down waiting for the game to commence.
I was in charge of buying the tickets and all I could think when I saw that massive line of people. Was thank goodness I opted to buy them online. We showed up maybe 20 minutes before the game was set to start and I was incredibly thankful that we would not find our selves peaking in between the gaps from peoples bodies and through the fence to watch the game from the ticket line. Within no more than 10 minuets we were in the stadium and happily seated. The game was great and I had a blast watching. My adventure companion is much more knowledge in baseball than myself. So I was happily treated to so baseball knowledge that I found exceptionally interesting and helpful in my quest to further my knowledge of baseball.
By 9:30 pm with only two innings left we were completely drained so we opted to leave early and to go visit a local burger joint for a late dinner. The day as a whole was exceptionally relaxing and a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday summer evening. Never under value the power of a fun day in the sun. After my adventure to the baseball game I find myself fully recharged, flowing with creativity, and ready to work to help better ThavinMarcob.
What was the last adventure you were on?

In all walks of life is present. This goes for business as well. When you have a business competition is a given. It's something that you should expect so when something does arise you know how to appropriately handle the situation.
When it comes to ThavinMarcob as an entire company I can honestly say competition is not something that ever really crosses my mind.
Here's Why …
Thavin & Marcob is a place where you are celebrated for being you!
