Laptop Lifestyle and How to Turn Your Passion Into Profit
Just like motivational coaches, there are literally thousands of articles about making money online. And that is not really the problem – the problem is that quite a big percentage of them exist simply to convince you to sign up for some webinar, seminar or a training session in order to become an online billionaire. Boo-hoo. And stuff like this gives online money a bad name. However, it really is possible to make money online – and there are more ways than one, depending on your personal preferences.
Before we begin, there are some general tips you must follow before you start swimming through this ocean:
Number one: take this seriously and be professional. Yes, you are applying for an online job and you will do your interview with a button-down on top and your Snoopy underwear and Simpsons socks on the bottom below the table, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a real job. If you don’t treat it that way, your future employers won’t treat you seriously as well. And trust me on this one, the competition for these jobs is huge. Write complete sentences with proper grammar, don’t be too laid back, and remember that you are the one who is building their view of you.
Number two: Don’t give out your all. Whether you are providing photography portfolio, writing samples or something else, give your employers just enough to get the idea, but not too many so they don’t know where to start. Also, give some background information but not your whole life story. And make sure whatever you send is good to go, spell checked and double-checked!
Now, let’s get to the strategies.
Whether you already have a website or blog, or are still dreaming your ideas up, you can also look into this form of marketing. Basically, with affiliate marketing you partner up with businesses and brands within your website’s content. And if you mention a service or product, you link to that service with a unique affiliate code you received when you signed up for that affiliate program. From there, you will be making money whenever someone buys a service or products through your link.
If you are an expert in any field, you can find people who are willing to pay you to counsel them on their business or personal goals. No matter whether you think you are important enough or not, you can be surprised at all the types of expertise people are paying for.
If you have any skill you want to teach others, you can set up an online course and market it online. There are many platforms where you can upload your materials and manage customers and payments.
If you have a creative talent and writing skills, you’ve probably already heard that it is possible to get paid to create online content. There are some bloggers who make over $200 000 per year just by creating content for other websites. The key to making it in this area is figuring out your niche, networking with people that can hire you and, of course, delivering a quality content all the time.
Online surveys are one of the easiest ways to make money online and therefore, one of the best ones as well. Let’s face it, we are all struggling to make money these days, and a little extra cash is always welcome. They usually take just a few minutes of your time and require your opinions only. Quite handy if you ask me.
If your social media following is large, you can make money by pursuing ads and sponsored posts. How does this work you may ask? Well, many companies are more than willing to pay social media influencers and bloggers to promote their services or products. If you have a platform such as huge Instagram following or a successful blog, you can cash in. This is really cool because usually there is not just the cash, but a bunch of free stuff for you as well.
YouTube is another quite successful platform that has made it possible for everyone to earn money online. There are tons of channels with big following that are earning money in exchange for their time and videos. If you are creative and love doing videos, start your YouTube channel as a fun new way to earn cash. You can use the platform’s own ad network or get sponsored posts.
Which one of these ways you like best? Do you have some more ideas you would like to share? Feel free to leave your comment.
As many of you know because I'm just so happy I can not stop talking about it. My aunts flew in to come for a visit. I had such a blast hanging out with them. We experienced so many great adventures together. From traveling into the mountains, picnics on the beach, wandering around farmers markets, shopping locally, and just overall enjoying each others company.
The instant they got into my car and for the next 24 hours. We were in a continuous conversation just simply reconnecting with one another. We shared stories tat we have collected for our lives. We shared stories about lessons learned, about experiences both good and bad. We laughed at the crazy times and sighed when reminiscing on the tragedies we've each faced.
Reconnecting with each other brought out an inner peace. That I'm not sure I am adequately explain, it's just somethin you have to experience for yourself. It was one of those moments where you realize just how important staying connected with others is.
Never Too Old For Adventure
Both of my aunts are in their 70's
Both have experienced the full unrelenting power of life's ups and downs, and both are still ready to take on the world!
They have the ability to keep going and to keep taking on each and every day.
I surprisingly learned quite a few things during their visit. That I am more than happy to share because I think that this is something everyone should keep in mind.
Enjoy the time you have.
Doesn't matter if it's with family or friends. Make sure to try and enjoy your time by creating memories, sharing laughter, and experiencing a room filled with love and joy.
Never stop being adventures!
Taking chances is scary. It's normal to hesitate when facing the unknown. Just because you feel a little nervous or scared, doesn't mean it's bad and that you should turn away.
What is life without love. You need to love and be loved to thrive. These two women are so loving and so loud about there loving that they left a lasting impression in every space they visited.
All in All I'm lucky, I know I am. Not only do I get to say I know these two amazing women, but I also had the chance to spend time with my amazing family.

As you may know Monday is the only day out of the week that the boutique is closed this summer. This is because I know how important it is to take a step back and to remember to breathe and relax. Admittedly I have a hard time and I still will work on the computer, so in actuality is half of a day off. Although this pass Monday was a total success, I managed to not work at all and just enjoyed my free time.
As many of you know at the end of July I am Renewing my Wedding Vowels for my 25th Wedding Anniversary. It's such an exciting time and one that I can not wait to share with my beloved husband.
Although with my busy schedule I have not had time to find a dress. I have ordered a few online, four in fact. They are all great dresses, but I just have not fallen in love with any of them.
This past Monday was perfect timing. My aunts were flying in, I had the day off, and there were going to be many stores for me to choose from in hopes of finding The Dress.

I do love shopping. I love finding and discovering new fashions to express myself with. Although it did not occur to me that I have not enter a real mall in quite some time because the moment my partner in crime and I took our first steps into the mall. Both of our eyes went big and we instantly realized that we were in for quite an experience.
Photo Katy Duclos
We hit the first store with much excitement and determination to conquer. They had a few racks filled with beautiful selections of dresses to choose from. We had an absolute blast adventuring through the racks and swinging the dresses up against us to see what we would look like in them. After a bit of searching, I found three dresses that I considered to be quite the contenders.
As soon as I slipped on the first dress I knew I had just found The Dress. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. I did try on the other two that I had picked out and placed in the dressing room, but they just didn't compare.
First Store, First Dress and I was happily content. The rest of our shopping trip involved a quest to find a contour palette. If you haven't read on my funny adventure with that make sure to click over to Monday's Blog ThavinMarcob Contouring??

In any wardrobe there are obvious must haves. When it come to clothing there are your classic cut little black dress, and pencil skirt, perfect fitting blue jeans, a warm cozy vest, an elegant blouse, the list goes on. Although what is an outfit without accessories. They are wonderful at adding that little extra something to your outfit. Whether it's sparkle, flash, statement, classic, sophistication, ect… The list can go on and on. There is no limitation to the power of a good accessory and an outfit.
Something that Sparkles
Everyone needs that something little extra that just gleams and shines in the light. No matter if it's sunlight, lamp light, moonlight, or candle light nothing beats the intrigue that others get in there eyes when they see you shine and want to know what your wearing.
There is never a moment when a classic piece of jewelry is never not needed. Whether it is a job interview, Sunday brunch, or just a fun day out exploring, there's never an occasion where a classic necklace or bracelet isn't appropriate.
Sometimes an outfit just calls for a simple piece of jewelry to complete it. While sparkle and shine is always amazing some outfits just call for a little subtlety in simplicity.
Date night, a friends wedding, sophisticated evening dinner are all .perfect events where an elegant piece of jewelry would be the perfect selection to pair with your outfit.
Let your wild side free and show the world just how spunky you are. Never fear being too bold because there is just no such thing. Let go and let your creative and imaginative side flow free.
Here is just a list of five accessories we think everyone should have in their wardrobe.
What do you consider a Must Have Accessoriy?
Did you have any accessories from our list?

May your day be productive and filled with summer fun.
If these were the 1960’s, we would probably say that you spend most of your time at home and that you have to invest in your house or apartment to make it feel more comfortable and cozy. However, it’s 2018 and the time we spend in our offices can sometimes be more than half of our day. This means that we also have to pay special attention to making our office a better place – one that we won’t have any problem spending time in. There are many ways to make your working space stand out, but if you’re in the fashion industry and serve people trends, it’s very advisable that you make your working space modern and unique, as this will make your brand even stronger. Killing two birds with one stone, eh? Take a look at the possible ways to enhance your working space
1. Introduce technology
Technology plays a great role nowadays, not only in the daily life of an individual but the corporate life as well. If you want to be modern and follow the latest trends (which you definitely should if you’re a fashion business), you need to implement as much technology as you can. This means interactive whiteboards, electrified surfaces, “touch down” areas for mobile devices and other gadgets. Using state-of-the-art technology is not only important for the general feel of your working space; it also makes any job way easier. Moreover, making your employees feel good about their job and giving them the ability to finish a task quickly is definitely something you should invest in.
2. Make it comfortable
Imagine having to spend more than 8 hours a day in a space you find depressing, dark and totally uncomfortable. This can have serious consequences on your mental health and mood as an individual, but also on the team dynamics. The best way to deal with this is to make the working space as comfortable as you can. For example, smell is very important, so the first step that you should take is to implement pleasant fragrance oils and make your whole working space smell like flowers (or any other scent that you like). Furthermore, choose comfortable and bright pieces of furniture for the lounge area where the employees can take a break and drink a cup of coffee while recharging their batteries for the next task.
3. Consider collaborative areas
Speaking of lounge areas, you should definitely consider making as many such collaborative areas as possible. Of course, you won’t be making more than one lounge area for your employees, but think about conference rooms and small benches and tables where your employees could get together and discuss an important matter. Collaboration is the key to everything, and this will certainly enhance the motivation and thus performance. It’s up to you if you want to make some of these collaborative areas formal, and even though you should have a conference room that would be a collaborative area for burning and urgent matters, make sure to leave a couple of informal ones for all of your employees. It’s always better to work in a collaborative space than in private offices.
4. Make it open
This greatly depends on the way your working space was designed, but if there’s any possibility to lower the panels or remove the dividers between your employees, you should definitely do so. This encourages the “teaming” of your employees, making them share information and solve matters in a matter of minutes. Not only that, but it also does wonders for the overall atmosphere and sends a great message to all other companies.
5. Choose the colors wisely
Lastly, it doesn’t matter if you’re trying to make your fashion business bigger and your employees more productive or if you want to make your working space feel comfy – you should pay special attention to the colors that you choose. For example, if productivity is your main concern, then choosing from the blue palette is key, as many say that this color enhances productivity the most. On the other hand, if you want creativity (and bearing in mind that fashion is your business, you certainly want creativity) opt for the yellow palette. Stay away from minimalistic dark colors such as black or dark grey – but if you’ve already chosen these, make sure to make the working space more interesting by including colorful details such as a lot of plants, lazy bags in bright colors and colorful paintings or prints on the walls.
It is said that our working space is our second home, probably because of the amount of time we spend there. This is the main reason to do whatever it takes to make it stand out. However, it’s not only important to do this for the sake of our own mental health, but also for that of our employees, potential customers and the general image of our brand.
I've been on the internet for a while now and one thing that I see pop up time and time again are videos, articles, and photos of makeup that involve a technique referred to as contouring. I've found peoples work beautiful, but it was not until I watched a video of an elderly lady being contoured that my interest was really grasped. ln this short little video she was able to remove 25 years from her face effortlessly. I was not only captivated, but bound and determined to learn how to do it myself. As you know my Wedding Renewal Ceremony is coming up and I would love nothing more than to be able to shed a few years off with a little makeup.

So I watched video after video. I read all the blogging articles I could find, trying to understand how contouring was to be done, how it worked, what the goal for the look was etc....
I was determined to take off 10 years and I was absolutely positive contouring was going to be the answer!
Photo Caique Silva
We research and inspiration done. I grabbed my purse and planned my trip to Sephora.
I was honestly so excited. Contouring was the new magic I had seen it time and time again online. It was going to take years off my face. I enjoy makeup, but it is not something I wear all of the time nor is it something I really experiment with. I know what I like and I do what I like. This is great, but it does develop a pattern or routine that I follow time and time again. Which like anything can get old after awhile. This new adventure sparked both excitement and nervousness in me all at once.

When I made it to Sephora a contouring pallet was the first thing I searched for. It was perfect it had a variety of colors so I was for certain it would work with my skin tone.
After I added a few more very fun new things to my basket. I headed towards the register to pay for my fun new makeup products.
After I payed I asked the sales clerk if she would find someone to help demonstrate to me how to use the contouring pallet.
The staff were very polite and helpful. I was lead to a chair that was in front of a large lighted mirror. The makeup artist then demonstrated the technique of contouring. She showed me where to place the products and what colors would work best for me.
Did you know that I am in my early 40s?
I am and here I find myself fin Sephora excitedly sitting in this makeup chair in front of a large lighted mirror. Happily awaiting to absorb the knowledge of the technique of contouring form this wonderful makeup artist. I can't help, but think, "This is going to Change my Makeup Routine Forever. I'm going to Look Younger and just Look Fabulous at my Renewal Ceremony."

The pallet opens up, the different brushes that should be used are explained to me, and then she starts...
Mix a little bit of this color with a little bit of this color and place it here under your cheek bones...
Yes Literally WTF...
Did I really just spend $55.00 on a New Age Skill?
I Did … Well Played Marketing World
I fell for it, I fell for it.
Shame on me for getting wrapped up in all the changes and not seeing it for what it is.
My 70 year old aunts know how to contour. In fact my mother taught me how to do it when I was a teenager wearing makeup for the first time.
It's the process of mixing your brown eye shadow with a lighter color and placing it under the line of your check bone and then placing that line of blush...
remember the final step of blushing is to blend it...
That Ladies and Gentlemen is Contouring!
How I missed that I have no idea, but I did.
Don't get me wrong I'm loving my new pallet. The colors are wonderful and I love the way is blends into my skin. I do however wished that I would have realized what it was when I was looking at it in the store. If I would have registered what the technique was and how it is just being marketed differently. I probably would have tried contouring a long time ago or rather started to contour again.
If you find yourself in my age range and are debating whether or not contouring is for you and if maybe it is something only the young girls should be doing. Do Not Fear or Be Hesitant because you do know how to contour and have probably done it even if only once.
So while my new adventure was more of a trip of nostalgia. It was still nice to take a trip down memory lane. This adventure reminded me to be more open to the idea of things that may scare me and to really pay attention to how things are being marketed.
"A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet" - William Shakespeare.
Or as I have now learned, brown powder is brown powder.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

The Save The dates have gone out. The church is booked. Flights, and sleeping arrangements have been made. Everyone is coming and I'm no where near as far in the planning stages I should be.
Photo Joanna Kosinska
Where To Start
Well believe it or not I had the save the dates done before I even booked a church!
So the church is the best place to start. We have a home church so that was easily done. The pastor was fantastic in helping us out too! I explained I didn't want to go all out and decorate the church that I was looking for something simple yet elegant and wonderfully he had a solution
We were planning on purchasing a few large arrangements for the alter.
Which is pretty traditional, but here's the best part we get to leave them there for those who attend service the next day to enjoy!
It's a win, win.

Church is Done Now What
I have decided to have the ceremony will be in the church. Now it's time to decide what everyone will eat and where everyone will be eating at.
I thought about having us all go to a restaurant which has its benefits.
The main two are ...
1) We wouldn't have to clean.
2) We wouldn't have to worry about tables, chairs, tablecloths, silverware, etc…
I also thought about having our reception in a hall.
Benefits to this option are.
1) We could use the church reception hall. Which would be equipped with necessary supplies like tables and chairs.
2) We could hire a catering company to drop off food.
Then the thought occurred to me that we did just buy my dream house. This is my forever house. I want to make memories that will last us a lifetime. So yeah, I went for the more difficult route and decided to hold the reception in my house.

Getting The House Ready
I have decided that the event will be spread out between the back porch, the living room, and the driveway. Our yard is unfortunately unlevel which makes it rather impossible to use as a reception spot. My drive way however is large enough and level enough to stick a few tables and chairs on for my guest to enjoy the night air with ease.
The Ordering Has Started
There is so much that needs to be order for the big day. It's crazy because even the smallest things still hold so much importance. I'm trying my best to get everything so that our Wedding Renewal Ceremony will run with smoothly. It's a lot of work, but I am committed. Keep up and Stay connected through Social Media use #ThavinMarcob.
I hope you have a fun and safe weekend.

These last few months have been go, go, go. I have been insanely busy and have not really found time to take a little breather and regather myself. However just a week or so ago I managed to find the time to take the morning off.
It was absolutely amazing. I stayed in bed watching the sun come up. I drank my cup of coffee slowly savoring the taste, in fact enjoying every hot fresh sip. I didn't check social media, I didn't answer emails. Instead I lounged on the outdoor couch enjoying the warmth of the sun upon my skin, breathing in the fresh air around me.
Photo Kirsten Marie Ebbesen
I took the longest shower possible, in fact I didn't get out until I had used every last drop of hot water in the water tank. I moisturized not once but twice, I even allowed myself to take time for a facial!
I enjoyed more coffee and decided to actually do my hair!
My Hair is supper curly typically I usually just put in some staying conditioner and walk out the door. Although since I had the time I blow-dried my hair and I turned on the curly iron.
Photo Bobby Rodriguezz
I spent time on my hair and I even made time to place a little makeup on for the day.
I needed a day off, I just don't feel like I can actually take the time right now because of our latest growth spurt. There is so much to do. I do take so much pride in my work and accomplishments with ThavinMarcob that I do tend to push the limits.
Although this morning I took off some much needed time. By the afternoon I noticed that I accomplished twice the amount of work than I can normally do. I found my creativity to be on high alert. I found myself refreshed and eager to chase my dreams.
I know better than anyone the dive and determination to complete tasks that you know lie ahead of you. I also know better than anyone just how important time away from your tasks is. Yet, for some reason when work gets crazy and the time for a little breather is more necessary. I am the first to dismiss the idea of a creative break because I just want to continue to work towards my goals. So take it from me, no matter how unimportant you think it is. Take the Time Off. Trust Me while it may seem like you are wasting precious time, You're not. You're giving your brain the necessary time to relax. Which means when you do get back to work you will be a force to be reckoned with.
I hope you have a Wonderful day and that you do find the time for a little brain break.
