What are the Indoor Blues?
Okay, yes I may have just made up a phrase to describe how I am currently feeling. Although the phrase "Indoor Blues" just popped into my head of how to describe how I am feeling. I am 100% sure that at some point if not now you have felt the awful effect of the Indoor Blues.
Indoor Blues -- a feeling that encompasses not only ones mental state, but also there physically well being. Typically infecting those indoors with a variety of feelings such as and not limited to; FOMO, tiredness, boredom, agitation, restlessness, insatiable hunger, and envy. Can also lead to actions of internet stocking, doodling, day dreaming, and window gazing.
With Moving the House and Boutique. I have had no real time to go out and enjoy the Beautiful weather we have been having. It has left me with The Dreaded Indoor Blues. While I have had a few chances to sneak outside and enjoy the sun rays. I have practically been stuck indoors. While it is Exciting to be able to move into my Dream Home and to be able to Move into a Bigger Location in Downtown Oak Harbor. The Adventurer and Explorer in me still wants to be outside. I love the outdoors and always have. This is why the Indoor Blues really gets me and admittedly does add on a little frustration because all I want to do is quickly get done with all the important things. So that I can finally enjoy a relaxing day at the beach to unwind and chill.
There may be Only One Real Cure,
Thinking about it yes, there does only seem to be one real cure for the Indoor Blues. That would be to just Go Outside. Although I know for people like myself where work at this time has to come first it seems practically impossible. So while you may not be able to Cure your Indoor Blues until your next day off. You can follow a few of these helpful Remedies to help lessen the Horrid effect of the Indoor Blues.
Remedies for the Indoor Blues
There are a few little things that you can do to
help with the Indoor Blues.
1) Drink your desired morning beverage outside.
I have found that waking up just a few minutes early and enjoying my coffee on the back porch is the perfect thing to do. To not only help wake me up, but to also let me spend a few precious minutes outside listening to the birds chip, the wind blow, and the have the sun kiss my face awake.
2) Eat your lunch outside.
I am all too well known for working through lunch. There are just some times where inspiration or productivity will hit and I just don't want to break it so I power through. Although I have found that stopping and enjoying a nice lunch outside or even just opening a window and breathing in fresh air. Helps to not only inspire inspiration, but also helps to lessen the Indoor Blues that fill me with the desire to procrastinate.
3) Take some time to go for a nice quick walk outside.
It does not have to be fancy or anything crazy. Like a 6 mile trek through the wilderness. Just a simple stroll through ones neighborhood before or after work. I personally like to sneak away to the beach and walk one of the short simple trails. This should present you with enough time enjoying nature and the sun to be able to get back into the office and work your butt off. That way when your day off comes around you will not have to worry about what needs to be done at work because you will have already accomplished it.

Communication is Key!
I know for me when things get a little crazy and hectic. I have a tendency to do two things. I will do a lot of alone thinking and run through different scenarios in my head. I also have a bad habit of saying only part of a sentence and not really completing my entire thought for whom ever I am talking to. My daughter has a bad habit of throwing in the towel and letting someone else take charge when the stress and frustration levels become to much. In situations where everyone is on a different page, stressed to the max, and exhausted. It is important to remember that Communication is Key. It may be annoying in the moment and seem incredibly silly and time consuming, but try to say full well thought out sentences. I know that when it comes to my family and I any other time we can do a lot of nonverbal communication and everyone will understand. Although when the pressure is on and every little thing starts to drive us insane. We can stand around and waste precious hours just talking in circles because no one is understand any one else.

Make Sure Your Vision is Clear
When the opportunity for change or growth presents itself. I know that one can not help, but to imagine all of the New and Great possibilities that are now mere inches from your fingertips. I know that I can not stop my imagination from running wild. While it is great to be able to have such Inspiration and Drive. It is also important to remember that when you explain your idea or vision to someone else. It is important to be able to explain it clearly and with as much simple and straight forward detail as possible. With going about things in this fashion other parties involved can get a clear picture of what your vision is. All while avoiding the frustration that comes with misunderstanding or not understanding at all.
I know better than anyone that when things get hectic and it seems like things are at an unbearable stand still. You can instantly lose all patience. Not having or losing patience when things become frustrating can and will only lead to more frustration. When things start to become too much and I can see myself having a hard time interacting with someone else because I have zero patience. I personally like to take a step back, breathe, and try to remember that everyone is trying there best to make everything come together. I also like to remind myself of the first two Tips.
1) Communication is Key
I need to remember to speak in full clear sentences. Out loud thinking is great and is something that I do often with no shame. However I have noticed that sometimes when I am out loud thinking I will not explain what I am doing. So someone always thinks that I am talking to them and not to myself. This creates for much confusion which ultimately leads to Frustration.
2) Make sure your Vision is Clear
My daughter and I love bouncing ideas off of each other. We work incredibly well together and the other never fails to help the others vision come to life. Although there are those times were one of us will present a very rough idea to the other. We are around a lot of the time. So most of the time the other can easily dissect the idea and see the vision the other is having. Although even we are not immune and find ourselves frustrated with the other because one of us just does not understand.
One of both of these is typically the sore for my lack of patience. So as long as I remember to step back and try to move forward implementing these two tips. I can help restore my level of patience and reduce the level of stress and frustration that can come along with the process of growth.

avoid or to lessen Frustration?

I can honestly say that I have been searching for that perfect dream house for quite a few years now. As more time wore on the search for that perfect forever home definitely started to weight a fair amount of frustration and stress. However luck finally struck when we found this beauty. I couldn't believe that we had found such a beautiful home in our desired location. It was a real match made in heaven. Not only was I thrilled when we toured the house, but my family was also visually over joyed when we concluded the tour. There are moments in one's life that you know you'll just remember forever. For me finding this gem and feeling completely over joyed when I knew I had just taken the first steps into my dream home. Will always be a memory I will have on hand.
